Training & Professional Practice

Many of the organisations working in the creative industries and in the criminal justice and crime prevention sectors are now working in partnership to get the most out of limited project funds. For any arts project in a community or custodial setting to successfully address crime prevention goals, it is essential that project partners develop a way of working together that maximises the limited resources usually available, and makes best use of professional expertise partners have to offer.

A planning process that involves all the partners, and keeps channels of communication open, is very important. Ensuring all the artists are able to provide the required Criminal Record Bureau Disclosures and/or security checks in time and have adequate insurance to undertake the work is also part of this.
